Heaven is just a little bit sweeter now

This past week we said Goodbye to Buddy's grandmother. She had been dealing with several health issues and went home to be with the Lord on February 1st. I am so thankful that we were able to visit her during our Christmas travels this year. The services were very sweet and simple, just as Gammie was. The worst part of it I guess was the unfortunate weather...super cold, rainy/sleet, and in the mountains. But we just wore lots of layers and did the best we could.

Have you noticed how much funerals are similar to family reunions?

You see family members you haven't seen in a long time.

There's a lot of food.

You hear the phrase "Do you remember the time.......?" a lot!

Gammie was such a sweet lady and I am so proud to have married into her family. When we were dating, Buddy took me to her house many times. She and PaPa were always so welcoming to me. I know Heaven is just a little bit sweeter now that she is there!
