The apple doesn't fall far from the tree....

You read in my last post about my mishap with a sharp knife this week.

Check out my son's sweet face....and the lovely bruise he came home from school with yesterday!

Apparently he wasn't sitting down with everyone during "circle time", which I think is when they do their songs and finger plays. He was hopping around and hopped into the corner of a toy shelf. I guess he better learn to listen to his teachers, huh?

Like the saying goes, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and unfortunately, this apple is bruised! I love you son, but I hope you don't grow up to be as clumsy as your momma!

PS....no comments about the fact my 2-year-old is still using his paci. We are slowly working on this.... :-)

Sarah used the paci until she was THREE. And then one day she just decided she was done with it and never used it again. And she is a smart, beautiful, well-adjusted 5 1/2 year old so I wouldn't worry about him using one!

Oh my poor darling boy! I hope it doesn't hurt too bad. I bet a bunch of loving from Gramie would make that bruise go right away.

I love you Quinn

ok, so the paci....tanner kept his in his mouth CONSTANTLY!!!!! i believe we got rid of his before his second birthday...and this is what we did...we took one, threw the others away, and while he wasn't looking i cut it and when he put it back in his mouth he said "it's broke" and then we threw it in the trash. for about two days he would whine a little for it, but after that, i didn't hear a word out of him!! now, alex on the other hand is 5 1/2 and still sucks her finger...a HORRIBLE habit, be thankful it's a paci. i can't cut her finger and throw it away!!!! although i've threatened to, ha!

I agree with Andrea be glad you have a paci problem. Claire is almost 3 and I need to curb her thumb sucking but I can't "cut it off". And it has affected her teeth placement. The dentist told me to try to break her of it by the time her permanent teeth come in and I DREAD this task!

Quinn is so cute bump and all :)
